Happy Birthday Becky !

This first picture was taken in the hospital before we went home.

Becky always had good birthday parties because her birthday was the first day of summer and growing up in NY we did not get nice weather until June, her birthday was a good reason to have a big party and play outside.

We had a variety of themes for her birthday, Ninja turtles, Dalmations, clowns, Aladin, I think the party that we had the most fun with was the last one that we had in NY, it was a "What would you do?" party. It was straight from Nickleodian TV we had slime, and pie throwing, obstacle courses, just a great day. All of the girls got involved with planning it.

It is hard to believe that my "baby" is 24, and she has a family of her own now. I am very proud of her. Becky is married and has a daughter, Leilani and two step sons, Zach and Jalen. She is a stay at home Mom, and a certified surgical tech. but has decided to stay home to be a housewife and mother for now. She and Jeff spend a lot of their time working for their church, as well as making improvements to their new home.

Update for the week of June 8, VBS and Pineapples

Here is a picture of Lindy and a friend in her classroom. They have been having a great time with about 18 other kids (preschool age).

STUDIO GO is the name of our program, it is game show setting with lots of action that gets all of the kids involved with answering questions and little games of competition. They all seem to be enjoying it.

This weeks update on the pineapple:

Pat and I are like new parents, we show the pineapple to everyone that comes in the factory. We are so excited, I'm not sure if we will be able to eat it when the time comes.

One last funny item: Here is a Smiley Face Fail, I blew this ball up the other day for the grandchildren and it had a frowny face instead of a smile! Poor guy.

Pineapple blog #2

This is a pineapple update. We noticed today that there are little purple flowers coming at the base of the fruit. I didn't think that the fruit grew much but actually in todays picture it is 2 inches wide at the base and in the first pictures we took it was aproximately 1 inch wide. We are so excited about the pineapple, we are wondering if we should move the plant outside, because it doesn't get very hot in the foyer at work, we don't know if it needs heat to grow. It could kill it with a big climate change from indoors to outdoors. Any suggestions ?

I need a new Blog

I have not posted a blog for a while, the last one I did about the apricot tarts was just a quick little blog that I wrote because I was guilty about not writing anything lately. Well I have quite a few days until the next birthday celebration, (keep checking in to see who it is) , no anniversaries coming up, so I what do I blog about?

I am just going to let you know about some tings that I have been doing lately:

Saw this Sea Otter at the Atlanta Aquarium, he is eating ice cubes

Had grandchildren over to swim and eat ice cream
Went to Edisto Island with Becky and her family. While we there our friends the MacIntoshes came by to visit for a while. We saw Dolphins, caught the largest Hermit Crabs we ever saw, played the longest game of Phase 10 (took 3 nights to finish) Zach won. Had a good time.

Clara and Lindy had a dance recital, and I have no pictures :(.

All of the girls and I went to Women of Joy women's conference in Tennessee.

We completed the rental house in time for the tenants to move in. There are still a few repairs to finish.

I went to NY to visit my Dad. I also visited with my sister and brother while there.

I have been trying to encourage Sarah with potty training Henry.

Oh and the most life changing thing that has happened is that we are going to be grandparents again !! Kelly and Will are pregnant with baby #4, he or she is due Christmas Eve.

Well, that is about it for now. I will try to get some recital pictures on of Clara and Lindy, they were so cute and did a great job!
