How we spent Sunday and Monday

We have been looking for a new larger fish tank. Pat found a 55 gallon tank on Craigslist. It was in Asheville, NC. After lunch on Sunday Pat, Leilani and I got in the Suburban and drove to Asheville. We picked up the aquarium and all of the supplies and 4 fish. and brought them home. Now we have to make plans for setting up the aquarium.

First of all I have a large fantail goldfish, he is probably at least 8 inches in length including his tail. He is in a 10 gallon tank with a regular goldfish that we adopted from Clara. "Goldy" really needs more room to swim around. Our second tank is a 20 gallon tank with a variety of fish in it. Pat is like a little boy, everytime he comes home from Walmart he brings home fish. The Plan was to take the goldfish from the 10 gallon tank and put him in the 20 gallon tank, but we needed to move it first.

On Monday night we emptied both the ten and twenty gallon tanks. We were going to put the twenty gallon tank in the kitchen where the ten gallon tank had been. We were going to put the new 55 gallon tank on the hearth where the twenty gallon tank had been. But, when we put the new tank on the hearth Pat did not like it there, so he ended up going to Walmart and buying a stand for the new tank. So the twenty gallon tank that we had moved ended up going back on the hearth, and now I have an empty counter top in the Kitchen YEAH !!!!!!

The stand is nice, and the tank looks good on it, but now there is just too much stuff in the corner of the family room. I don't think the tank will stay where it is.

"Goldie"New Silver Dollar Fish

the biggest one is probably 5 inches around, but they are flat, only 1/2 inch or so wide.
I have a very large plecostamus I am going to try to get a picture of him.
Come on over and see our Aquariums !!

  1. We all liked your new tank. I agree there is too much in that corner now but you will find a good place for it. We will come back and see the fish another time when we are not all starving.
